We are still going strong. Twenty something years and counting. Small and mighty.

Previously aka as a hidden jewel in the crown of the Prosserman Jewish Community Centre in Toronto.

Tucked away on the second floor of the Prosserman Centre building we meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings to schmooze, exercise, and enjoy music, and coffee, bagels and treats together. We are an inclusive supportive group of JCC members. We are a caring community of participants, volunteers, facilitators and support staff.

This is my favourite place to be every Monday morning.

Our annual December Chanukah holiday season party is a delightful gathering of friends and family including caregivers and invited guests. We enjoy freshly fried kosher potato latkes (with apple sauce or sour cream), bagels and cream cheese, seasonal fruit, delicious home-baked goodies, party sandwiches, decadent chocolates, brewed coffee, and of course lively party music and good cheer. Year after year, we are greeted with the familiar aroma of greasy latkes as well as friendly smiles, hugs and support from dedicated volunteers and familiar community members. It’s a wonderful annual tradition and we all cherish the generous gifts of love, sweets and treats. And a surprise gift bag–to go!

This is the time each year to show our gratitude and count our blessings. May we all be blessed with good health and peace. Happy holidays and a Happy New Year! We look forward to celebrating together once again in 2019, and for more years after.

Thank you to all of the staff, volunteers, community members and generous donors for making this meaningful holiday celebration possible.

A special shout-out to Ben and Jerry and Maurice our inspiring lead volunteers for their dedication and leadership.
